Campus Art

Perhaps I’ll grab some more photos of sculpture recently installed on campus.

I work at a university. Thirty years ago that university was underfunded, had shrinking enrollment, was notable for being a regional party school, and it was on the brink of bankruptcy. After cycling through a few presidents with 1 and 2-year tenures, they gambled on a marketing professor in the school of business. To his credit, he managed to improve nearly everything about the school. A lot of capital improvement, enrollment trending up every year, and even managed to keep all staff during Covid.

He retired last year and one of the last announcements was the creation of a series of statues throughout the campus to create an “art walk.” The one above went in about a month ago. My library is the building to the left!
